The 39-year old – who retired from playing 2014 – follows other former players such as Roscommon’s Shane Curran and Westmeath’s John Keane in swapping their boots for bainisteoir bibs in recent weeks.

FORMER SLIGO STAR Eamon O’Hara has been appointed to his first managerial role taking charge of Ballaghaderreen senior footballers.
O’Hara – who famously used his role as a pundit on The Sunday Game to call for then Sligo manager Kevin Walsh to resign – has been appointed for the 2015 season.
